Privacy Policy

EraserPro ("we", "us") is operated by Muhammad Yahya Aslam, an individual sole proprietor based in Pakistan, trading as M.Y.A Studio. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use bg-eraser-pro.com.

The short version: we keep as little as possible. We never store your files. Most PDF tools never send your files anywhere at all. The image tools, and six Office conversion tools, do pass your file to a processing provider — we name each one and say exactly which tools use it below.

1. Information we collect

Account information

If you create an account, we store your email address and an encrypted authentication record through Google Firebase Authentication. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google. We never see or store your password in readable form.

Credits and usage

We store a record of your credit balance and how many tool runs you have used, so the service knows what you are entitled to. This is linked to your account identifier.

Images you upload to the AI tools

When you use the Background Eraser or Watermark Remover, your image is sent from your browser to our server, and from there to a third-party processing provider — remove.bg for background removal and Replicate for watermark removal. The processed result is returned to you. We do not save your images to any database or storage bucket of ours. The image exists in memory only for the length of the request. The processing providers handle the image under their own privacy policies, linked in section 3.

PDF files — browser-only tools

Most tools in the PDF Hub run entirely inside your browser using JavaScript — merging, splitting, rotating, cropping, compressing, reordering, deleting and extracting pages, page numbers, watermarking, redacting, flattening, repairing, protecting, unlocking, e-signing, and conversions to and from images, text and HTML. For these, your PDF files are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. They do not leave your device.

PDF files — Office conversions

Six tools are the exception, because converting Microsoft Office formats faithfully cannot be done in a browser: Word to PDF, Excel to PDF, PowerPoint to PDF, PDF to Word, PDF to Excel and PDF to PowerPoint. For these, your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection directly from your browser to our conversion provider, CloudConvert, which performs the conversion and returns a download link. We never store a copy of the file ourselves; CloudConvert deletes it after processing under its own retention policy. Each of these six tool pages states this on the page itself before you upload.

Data stored on your own device

We use your browser's localStorage and IndexedDB to remember your recent projects, interface preferences and a cached copy of your credit balance. This stays on your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Payment information

Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. We never receive, see or store your card number, CVC or billing address. We only receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with the amount and a transaction reference.

Technical logs

Our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically records standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, requested page and timestamp. These are used for security and to diagnose faults.

2. Why we use your information

  • To run the tools you asked for and return your result.
  • To manage your account, sign-in and credit balance.
  • To process payments and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • To find and fix bugs, and to keep the service secure.
  • To reply to you when you contact us by email.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your images to train any AI model of our own.

3. Third-party services we rely on

  • Google Firebase — authentication and account data.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • remove.bg — background removal processing.
  • Replicate — watermark removal (inpainting) processing.
  • CloudConvert — Microsoft Office ⇄ PDF conversion for the six tools named in section 1.
  • Vercel — website hosting and serverless functions.

Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy and security terms. Their servers may be located outside Pakistan, including in the United States and the European Union, so using EraserPro involves an international transfer of the data described above.

4. Cookies and similar technology

We do not use analytics cookies or tracking pixels. The only browser storage we set is the functional localStorage and IndexedDB described in section 1, plus the session cookie Firebase needs to keep you signed in. Stripe may set cookies on its own checkout pages for fraud prevention.

5. Advertising

EraserPro does not currently display advertising. We may introduce third-party advertising in future, such as Google AdSense. If we do, those advertising partners may set cookies or use device identifiers to show you ads, including personalised ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. You will be able to opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings, and we will update this policy before any advertising goes live.

6. How long we keep things

  • Uploaded images: not retained — discarded as soon as the request finishes.
  • PDF files (browser-only tools): never received, so nothing to retain.
  • Office conversions: held briefly by CloudConvert for the conversion and then deleted; we keep no copy.
  • Account and credit records: kept while your account exists, and deleted when you ask us to close it.
  • Payment records: kept by Stripe and by us in summary form for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
  • Server logs: kept for a short rolling period by our host.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it and close your account. If you are in the UK, EU or another region with similar laws, you also have the right to object to processing, to request a portable copy of your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Email us and we will act on your request within 30 days.

8. Security

Traffic to the site is encrypted with HTTPS. API keys are held as server-side environment variables and are never exposed to your browser. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not upload material you cannot afford to have intercepted.

9. Children

EraserPro is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top of this page always shows the latest version. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
